What a successful event!

As we wrap up our Hatch Street winter open studio event for 2016, we can look back on an exciting weekend! We had a great crowd both days, with our parking lot full to the brim and our hallways bustling with guests. Folks came to look art, to chat, to shop for holiday gifts, and to discover the creative energy that flows inside our building. Many of them left carrying wrapped parcels and the cards of artists they had collected along their journeys down the Hatch Street hallways, along with warm memories of their experience.

We Hatch Street Artists would like to thank all those who came out and made our event such a great success! We'd also like to thank Gregg Harper for adding a note of musical beauty, and Destination Soups and Alice's Food Truck for their delicious fare. The efforts and energy of many creative and dedicated people came together this weekend, resulting in a terrific time for everyone involved. Let's do it all again next year!

A few views from Hatch Street Winter Open Studios 2016:

Jewelry, ceramics, prints, paintings ... there was a lot to look at in each room.

One of the best things about open studios: a chance to talk with the artists directly about their work.
Here, Alissar Langworthy discusses her imagery with visitors to her studio.

Michelle Lapointe's stained glass is always popular with shoppers.
With her studio adjacent to the display area, guests can see where her beautiful pieces are created.

A rare quiet moment on the fourth floor yesterday; our hallways were bustling all weekend long!
